USA Basketball has inked multiyear strategic alliances with Reebok, Spalding Sports Worldwide, PepsiCo's Gatorade and American Airlines, allowing each sponsor to use the USA Basketball logo in advertising and promotions. The Lego Co. was also granted license to create a USA Basketball-themed children's game and products to be sold in 2004.

Time Inc.'s People en Espanol and Cingular Wireless are joining forces for a mall tour bringing the monthly's Lo Ultimo style section to life in three cities. Those being featured include John Frieda Professional Haircare, American Airlines, AOL Time Warner's HBO and the Centers for Disease Control. The tour visits Miami on Sept. 21; Los Angeles on Sept. 28; and Wayne, N.J., on Oct. 5. Grand Central Marketing, New York, coordinates.

CTN: College Television Network hosts a "Big Weekend Tailgate Tour" at eight college campuses this fall, offering free popcorn, video-game events, movie previews and product samples at four-hour parties preceding major games. Sponsors include Maxim Magazine's Hair Color from Just for Men; Pfizer's Listerine PocketPaks; Universal Interactive; and the U.S. Army. U.S. Concepts, New York, coordinates.
