Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, a parrot shows how easy it is to order crackers with help from Amazon Echo's Alexa; a jet setter picks her car using the Avis app while on a plane; and a wardrobe sale covering clothes, jewelry, shoes and bedding is promoted in a Macy's ad.
Lara Croft is back in a 20-year celebration edition of Square Enix's "Rise of the Tomb Raider." People find any reason to drive their Buick Lacrosse -- from enjoying authentic Philly cheesesteaks to looking for a "missing" dog.
Finally, Jennifer Aniston goes from enjoying the fineries of first class to chatting with the kids in coach in her second spot for Emirates (the first ad was called "elitest" by YouTubers).
