Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, Hyundai highlights the features of its 2017 Elantra; Lexus lures people's eyes away from their phones and onto admiring its NX model; Chobani shows yogurt fans how to flip out; and Kohl's promotes its three-day doorbusters.
Finally, Speed Stick recruits John C. McGinley, aka Dr. Perry Cox in "Scrubs," to coach potential top draft picks Jalen Ramsey and Myles Jack in media training, giving tips such as "own the room" and "bull-rush the mic."
