Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week. See the methodology here.
Among the new releases, Tide HE Turbo Clean rescues a man from boredom by saving him some wash time, while "the Benzacs" are the envy of their high school in a Benzac acne treatment plug that alludes to "Mean Girls." And Old Navy serves up another ad from its spring campaign starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus -- this time she holds up an elevator with an armful of groceries to hear about Old Navy's latest deals. Wouldn't you? (Ashley Rodriguez has more on the campaign with Ms. Louis-Dreyfus.)
