The magazine will have the same name as the top-rated cable network on which it appears to be thematically based. Lifetime will launch in March 2003 as a bimonthly with a rate base of 500,000, before going monthly in September.
The publication will also carry a tagline, "Real Life. Real Women," that echoes the name of the network's new channel, Lifetime Real Women.
Lifetime is owned by the the Hearst Corp. and the Walt Disney Co. Hearst is the publisher behind women-centric titles such as Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire.
