NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- As expected, Conde Nast Publications' former chief marketing officer, who had announced his resignation last week, will instead remain with the publisher as president of the newly acquired bridal titles.

Peter King Hunsinger, who was also executive vice president, late today was named president of the publisher's new Bridal Division. His appointment becomes effective as soon as Conde Nast's deal to purchase Primedia's Modern Bride and its related publications is completed.

Mr. Hunsinger was replaced Jan. 28 as chief marketing officer by Richard Beckman, who was promoted from publisher of Vogue.

Meanwhile, the publisher's position at GQ, left open last week when Tom Florio was tapped to replace Mr. Beckman at Vogue, remains vacant. It is expected that an announcement will come as early as Tuesday naming Ron Galotti, president of Talk Media, to that position.

A Conde Nast spokeswoman declined comment on that scenario, and Mr. Galotti did not immediately return calls.
