The Media Chart For August 19: Olympics Continue to Dominate

The Media Chart is a weekly look at what's topping the rankings and the ratings.

NBC won last week, as its coverage of the Summer Olympics dominated TV viewing. While this week has been all about the Fastest Man in the World, Usain Bolt, last week -- if you can remember that far back -- was largely about Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky making waves in the swimming pool. But while the Olympics may be leading TV viewing, ratings continue to remain lackluster heading into the closing ceremony on Sunday.

Meanwhile at the box office... While this year has been full of space drama and super-hero fights, "Finding Dory" has managed to top $900 million in worldwide box office, good enough for the No. 2 spot so far this year.
