The Media Chart is a weekly look at what's topping the rankings and the ratings.

The 2016 presidential election continues to dominate media consumption. The second prime-time brawl on Oct. 9 was not only among the top 10 broacasts on both network TV and cable, but it also commanded the most buzz on social media.

While NFL ratings may be in flux, but the sport is still dominating TV consumption. The matchup between the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers was the most watched program on broadcast for the week ended Oct. 9.
