Carmichel Lynch Leads Pack With Five

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- The Magazine Publishers of America today named the 25 finalists for the Kelly Award, awarded annually for best magazine ad campaigns.

Topping the list of nominees, as it did last year, was Interpublic Group of Cos.' Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis. Its five nominations included two for its work with Harley-Davidson Motor Co. and one each for Gibson Guitars, Porsche Cars North America and American Standard.

Havas Advertising's Arnold Worldwide, Boston, and independent Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore., each claimed three nominations.

Two of Arnold's nominations are for its work with Volkswagen of America andf one is for its Beri Helmets campaign.

All of Wieden's nominations came for its work with Nike.

The awards ceremony, of which the Ad Age Group is a sponsor, will be held in New York on May 14.
