$15 Million Deal Gives Viacom Unit Extra Campus Outlet

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Viacom's MTV Networks agreed to purchase College Television Network from CTN Media Group for $15 million in cash.

The deal gives youth-oriented MTV an additional outlet onto college campuses.

Viacom said CTN reaches 8.2 million students a week and will continue to offer music, news, sports and other programming aimed at the 18- to 24-year-old demographic.
