NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Myrna Blyth, who has edited Meredith Corp.'s Ladies Home Journal for over 20 years and been that company's most prominent edit-side staffer, was promoted to editorial director of the company's New York-based magazines and new-product development, the company announced today.

Ms. Blyth will relinquish her day-to-day roles as editor in chief of both Ladies' Home Journal and More.

The company will begin searching for her replacement at LHJ.

Meanwhile, she will be replaced at More by Susan Crandell, formerly More's executive editor and editor.

Ms. Blyth will continue to oversee development of Meredith's Living Room magazine project, which is aimed at a younger female audience and is slated to publish its third test issue later this year.
