Every weekday, we bring you the Ad Age/iSpot Hot Spots, new and trending TV commercials tracked by iSpot.tv, a company that catalogs, tags and measures activity around TV ads in real time. The new releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. The Most Engaging ads are showing sustained social heat, ranked by SpotShare scores reflecting the percent of digital activity associated with each one over the past week.
Among the new releases, Victoria's Secret has its angels explain to men "what women really want" for Christmas--gift cards, fragrances and pajamas; Michael Kors follows supermodel Lily Aldridge as she escapes in an ad for fragrance Wonderlust; Macy's promotes its One Day Sale--$20 off when you spend $50 on select merchandise; and Toyota offers $1,000 customer cash on the 2017 Prius Liftback.
Finally, Reddi-Wip goes back to the '60s in a commercial featuring a milkman from the "Hairspray Live!" NBC production. The milkman goes behind the scenes of the production and squirts some whipped cream onto coffee and dessert dishes for the crew members, and ends with a jazzy little dance number.
