NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Ziff Davis Media will announce later today that effective Oct. 1 Bob Callahan will become the company's new chairman, CEO and president.

He replaces Jim Dunning, who purchased the company in early 2000 with backing by financial player Willis Stein & Partners -- and who was ousted by the board Aug. 13.

Mr. Callahan, 49, was most recently president of ABC's broadcast group, which encompasses its TV and radio properties.
