17 sponsors sign deals for Sydney Olympics

Seventeen international and Australian companies have committed $400 million to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, putting the sponsorship schedule six months ahead of target, according to Mal Hemmerling, Games chief executive. Coca-Cola Co., IBM Corp., Visa, UPS, Eastman Kodak Co., McDonald's Corp., Panasonic, Fuji Photo Film Co., Xerox Corp. and Time are among the sponsors.
