24/7 Media to acquire e-mail marketing company Exactis.comOnline ad network 24/7 Media, New York, agreed to acquire permission-based e-mail marketing company Exactis.com in a stock-for-stock transaction valued at about $490 million. Under terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2000, Exactis.com's e-mail delivery technologies will be integrated with 24/7's ad-serving technology, 24/7 Connect, and broadband ad-serving tool, e.merge. Exactis.com will operate as a subsidiary of 24/7 and will remain headquartered in Denver. Tom Detmer, president-CEO of Exactis.com, will report to Michael Rowsom, general manager of 24/7's e-mail division, 24/7 Mail.
