4.9 million African-Americans now online

Published on .

African-Americans constitute the largest ethnic minority group online with 4.9 million users, according to research from Internet consultancy Cyber Dialogue. Twenty-eight percent of U.S. adult African-Americans are online; 28% percent of adult Hispanics are also online. Cyber Dialogue's data also reveals that the digital gap between whites and ethnic minorities remains. Currently in the U.S., only 31% of the total adult ethnic minority population is online, compared to 37% of the total adult white population.
