4 shops contend for Mirage account

Mirage Resorts will hear presentations from Richards Group, Dallas; GSD&M, Austin, Texas; Deustch, New York; and TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., for its estimated $50 million creative account, previously at Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco. The agency selected will handle advertising for all the Mirage hotels, including the Mirage, Treasure Island and Bellagio, as well as the opening of the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Miss., in 1999. A decision is expected by Dec. 1. The review is being handled in-house.
