$45 mil GTE branding campaign from O&M is postponed

Published on .

Ogilvy & Mather's estimated $35 million to $45 million national corporate branding campaign for GTE Corp. has been pushed back from its expected launch date, but will debut as soon as possible. Glen Gilbert, GTE VP-advertising and social responsibility, said the holdup is due to normal delays of putting a large campaign together. He said the delay has nothing to do with rampant speculation about a GTE and AT&T Corp. merger.
