In just three years, Swedish-born Fredrik Bond has become a director of repute thanks to commercials for Skoda, Monster.com. Adidas, Conseco, Lee jeans and the U.K.'s Kiss FM. Bond is known for both his impeccable and quirky casting and performance. He has taken a short sabbatical this year because of the birth of his first child, but prior to her arrival he helmed four spots. "Face-Off," for Supernoodles, presents a modern-day parable about healthy eating in the style of West Side Story, while VW's "Lupo" revealed Bond's ability to use film to tell a dark and gritty story. At press time, it was reported that Bond was leaving his current production company, Harry Nash, to join MJZ's new London outfit in August.
