7 shops compete for sporting goods acc't

Anygear.com, a Norcross, Ga., sporting goods site launching this fall, is talking with seven agencies in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and San Francisco about its account. CEO Jim Quigley said the budget is expected to be $10 million to $12 million the first year; $50 million over three years. Anygear will hire a marketing director by mid-August, then narrow the field to three agencies.
