Daniel Kleinman has been directing ads since the late '80s, and still manages to surprise with a reel that displays incredible diversity of direction but at the same time strong narrative skills. "My desire for new challenges grows," says Kleinman. "I love trying new things but I also strive for simplicity." Since his hilarious John West Salmon "Bear" spot, which won a Gold at Cannes in 2001, Kleinman has shot ads for Audi, J. Smith's, Visa, Vodafone, Xbox, BT, Durex, Lynx, Smirnoff, Strong Boy and Bernardo's. Represented by Ritts Hayden in the U.S., Kleinman is currently directing the title sequence for the next James Bond film. He admits that he's "thinking of features a bit and they're thinking of me in the same measure. "I have two things in common with Miss Whiplash," he adds. "I love my job and the other I'll keep to myself."
