A-B hopes to boost Bud; lizards not extinct

Anheuser-Busch hopes to increase sales of Budweiser in '99 after a 10-year decline in sales, executives told wholesalers last week at the brewer's annual sales meeting in Dallas. A-B plans to support the brew with a variety of ads, including heritage spots featuring A-B CEO August Busch III, humorous spots and new lizard ads, including one spot breaking this month that features the ferret character playing guitar.
