A-B reports record results

Anheuser-Busch Cos., St. Louis, Feb. 3 reported record earnings and sales for the fourth quarter and the year, due to price increases in most of the country and higher demand. The world's largest brewer saw net income climb 14% to $1.4 billion in 1999, as gross sales rose 4% to $13.7 billion. Anheuser-Busch said its domestic market share grew to 47.4%, from 46.8% in 1998.
