A-B to shut down Eagle

Anheuser-Busch Cos., unable to find a buyer for its ailing Eagle Snacks, said Wednesday it will shut down the division and sell four of its plants to Frito-Lay. The company said it is still looking to sell the Eagle trademark, as well as the Cape Cod and Hyannis brand names. But unless a buyer is found before Frito-Lay takes control of the plants, the brand will cease to exist. Glennon Cos., St. Louis, handled Eagle advertising.
