Anheuser-Busch says it will spin off it's Campbell Taggart bread and baking division to shareholders to focus on the beer and the entertainment businesses. The world's No. 1 brewer had tried to cut costs at Campbell Taggart by increasingly focusing on a national Iron Kids brand rather than several regional brands and by moving Campbell Taggart from Dallas to A-B's St. Louis headquarters. A-B, in an unusual move, today also said it would be raising beer prices in four states in September and in remaining states in Feburuary.
