A cereal about nothing?

Published on .

Nabisco Foods is rolling out Banana Nut Bread, a Cream of Wheat line extension with a national TV, print and free standing insert campaign next week from FCB/Leber Katz Partners, New York. The company is also planning a major sampling effort in New York, featuring Kenny Kramer and Bobby Allen Brooks, the Manhattanites said to be the inspiration for the Kramer and George characters, respectively, on "Seinfeld."

Tying into the series' fascination with cereal, the two have been enlisted to sample Banana Nut Bread, a multigrain hot cereal containing oat, barley and wheat, in high-traffic locations including the Port Authority and Grand Central Station on Oct. 21, the day the national ad campaign breaks.
