Campbell Soup Co. for the first time is promoting chicken soup as helping sufferers of cold and flu in a new network TV campaign that broke last week. The spot features a fictional set of quintuplets; when one comes down with a col d and is nursed by his mother with soup, the other four clamor for soup and her attention. BBDO Worldwide, New York, created the campaign, backed with a tie-in promotion with Procter & Gamble Co.'s Vicks cold medications and Puffs tissues.
