A top MindShare exec exits for post with new U.S. Spanish-language TV net

Peter Chrisanthopolous, a top executive at MindShare North America, New York, is leaving to join Azteca America Network, a new Spanish-language network in the U.S., where he will be president-chief operating officer, a new post. He starts the new job next week. At MindShare North America, Mr. Chrisanthopolous was president of national broadcast and programming. Azteca America is affiliated with the Mexican TV network TV Azteca and will be introduced in the U.S. next year, making it the third Spanish-language TV network in this country, along with Univision and Telemundo. Azteca America is 80% owned by Pappas Telecasting and 20% owned by TV Azteca. "It's an incredible entrepreneurial opportunity,'' said Mr. Chrisanthopolous. "I think down the road Azteca America is going to be a big thing. That's the exciting part about it.'' Mr. Chrisanthopolous will oversee network spot advertising sales for the new network and marketing.
