[new york] Advertising Age will release a new video developed in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service called "Studies in Marketing Excellence-Communications Insights & Strategies From Industry Leaders."

The 35-minute tape, hosted by Ad Age VP-Publisher Edward R. Erhardt, looks at successful marketing strategies of three corporations: Gillette Co., Bell Atlantic Corp. and Domino's Pizza, focusing on the elements that make up the marketing mix, including research, database marketing, direct mail, advertising, promotions, TV, radio, alliances and the Internet.

In addition to the 35-minute executive summary, which sells for $195, the postal service and Ad Age are offering full-length video studies of the marketing plans of Gillette, Bell Atlantic and Domino's.

"In these tapes, the marketing tactics of each company are discussed in depth and in detail by their top marketers, providing invaluable guidance and information that can be applied to practically any type of business," said Rod DeVar, manager of Admail business growth for the postal service.
