[london] Advertising Age's Daily World Wire on Disc, an electronic database of all the news stories carried on the wire service in 1995, is now available. Quarterly updates also will be available.

The full texts of more than 7,000 news stories are held on two 3.5-inch discs. The discs also contain Folio Infobase software, which allows the user to search via relevant words or word combinations.

The Daily World Wire, a weekday service based in London, supplies marketing, advertising and media news from around the world directly to subscribers' computer screens. Ad Age's global network of correspondents gathers the news.

"This product will save World Wire subscribers' time in searching for past news stories. It's also a unique research tool for anyone who needs to quickly pull together global marketing information for a pitch or a report," said Bill Britt, Daily World Wire editor.

For Daily World Wire subscribers, the 1995 edition costs $595; quarterly updates will cost $150. For non-subscribers, the 1995 edition is on sale at an introductory price of $895 until Sept. 1. After that, the annual edition will cost $995, and quarterly updates will cost $250. The database can be loaded onto most IBM-compatible computers.

To request an order form, fax Mr. Britt in London: 171-457-1440. For Daily World Wire subscription information, call Christine Yun in New York at 212-210-0789 or fax 212-210-0111.
