Marketing 2020, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel from March 11-13, is the only major international marketing conference held in the U.S., where a majority of the world's largest advertisers are headquartered. Confirmed speakers include Sean Dee, digital media director, Levi Strauss & Co.; Anssi Vanjoki, senior vice president, Nokia Mobile Phones; Ralph Faison, advertising director, Lucent Technologies; Oscar Guerra, marketing director, Varig Airlines; and Jan Soderstrom, executive vice president of marketing, Visa. Martin Sorrell, chief executive of WPP Group, will be the keynote speaker.
Panels at the conference will address the myriad issues of doing business in the fast-paced and ever-evolving international arena, with one day devoted to marketing and another to media strategy, planning and buying. For example, "The Regional Divide," scheduled for March 12, will evaluate the different challenges for marketers within the Americas, Europe and Asia. Matthew Asinari, CEO of Dentsu Young & Rubicam in Singapore, and James Allman, chairman, Latin America, of Ammirati Puris Lintas, will share their experiences on this panel.
