AB Volvo, Stockholm, started a new pilot program in Belgium this week that allows customers to start their purchase on the Web, said Hans-Olov Olsson, the new president-CEO of the Swedish carmaker's subsidiary, Volvo Cars
of North America. Buyers will still have to visit a Volvo dealership to complete the transaction. "How customers are buying and shopping is changing," he said, adding the Belgium pilot will be one of several Web programs Volvo will test this year.
