ABC adds Sinatra special

First the Fab Four, and now Old Blue Eyes. ABC, which is coming close tobecoming the prime-time musical nostalgia network, announced plans to air aprime-time special celebrating Frank Sinatra's 80th birthday. The two-hourspecial, "Sinatra: 80 Years My Way," will be produced by George SchlatterProductions and taped Nov. 19 during a black-tie gala at the Shrine Auditoriumin Los Angeles that will include a major gathering of Mr. Sinatra's friends inthe music, film and TV industries. Mr. Sinatra's actual birthday is Dec. 12. Anexact airdate for the special has not been set. In November, ABC will air athree-night prime-time special retrospective on The Beatles.
