ABC to audit PointCast

Published on .

PointCast Network, a provider of news and information via the Internet, hired the Audit Bureau of Circulations to audit its traffic reports. ABC, which is already active in auditing traffic on Web sites, will construct a new, customized system for PointCast, which automatically downloads news to users' computers via the Internet. Separately, PointCast said it has modified its ad delivery system to offer advertisers more flexibility in rotating and placing ads. The service has been in test with several trial advertisers and is now trying to sell $100,000 ad packages for the fourth quarter.
