Published on .

ABC Sports will now report to Steve Bronstein, the president of ESPN, Capital Cities/ABC announced late Wednesday. The move, long-anticipated since ABC and ESPN were acquired by the Walt Disney Co., coincided with the announcement that Dennis Swanson, the long-time president of ABC Sports, is retiring. ESPN is owned 80% by Cap Cities/ABC; Hearst Corp. owns the rest.
