Ad management software company Accipiter
signed Prodigy to a three-year contract. Prodigy is in the midst of revamping
its ad sales effort. Accipiter also launched version 2.0 of its software, enhancing the ad targeting capabilities and providing reports formatted to the needs of key Internet media buying agencies. The new software, for example, can use a site's registration data to help it determine and project the number of male visitors who reside in New York and make more than $100,000. The software also can deliver ads targeted to key words or phrases within the text of the site.
Accipiter clients include Lycos, CNET, ZDNet, the National Hockey League and Digital City.
