Nicklaus Golf Equipment, West Palm Beach, Fla., named several agencies as contenders for its estimated $5 million to $6 million account: Black Rocket, San Francisco; Cliff Freeman & Partners and Mad Dogs & Englishmen, both New York; GSD&M, Austin, Texas; Ground Zero, Santa Monica, Calif.; Leonard/Monahan, Providence, R.I.; and Partners & Simons, Boston. Two project-based incumbents in Florida, Hollywood Cows, Orlando, and Venue, Riviera Beach, are also under consideration, while a third incumbent shop, Buntin Group, Nashville, Tenn., will not pursue the business.
Frame-n-Lens, Fullerton, Calif., has narrowed the review for its estimated $4 million account to Bozell Worldwide, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Grey Advertising, Los Angeles; Heil-Brice Retail Advertising, Newport Beach; and Townsend & O'Leary, Laguna Hills.
