Publicis/Bloom, New York, resigned the creative assignment for Dick's Clothing & Sporting Goods, Pittsburgh. The $10 million account was a conflict with its recent win of Woolworth Corp.'s Champs Sports chain. Dick's creative is in-house.

GSD&M, Austin, Texas, resigned as agency for the Texas Department of Transportation litter prevention campaign. GSD&M, which created the "Don't Mess With Texas" campaign 12 years ago, did not participate in a periodic review of the account. Spending was estimated at $2 million.
