Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, Calif., awarded its estimated $20 million direct marketing advertising business to direct agency Rapp Collins, New York. Rapp, along with Grey Direct, New York, vied for the business. Grey Advertising, New York, handles the company's general advertising. Kaiser, a regional health maintenance organization in nine markets, used a variety of direct marketing suppliers in the past. Rapp will handle all direct-response TV and print; direct mail remains undecided. Minneapolis-based Gage Marketing Group handles direct mail for Kaiser in California.
