24 Hour Fitness, Pleasanton, Calif., with 284 facilities primarily in the West, to Grey Advertising, San Francisco, from in-house. Grey had been working for the fitness company since last fall on a project basis. Its work included an outdoor campaign showing a space alien and headlined ``When they come they'll eat the fat ones first.'' The campaign brought a protest by the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance.

Kenra, Indianapolis, to Young & Laramore, Indianapolis, as agency of record for its $2 million-plus account after a review including two other, undisclosed agencies. Kenra, a marketer of haircare and depilatory products, previously handled advertising in-house.
