Anheuser-Busch's German distributor has appointed DDB Needham's Fritsche Heine Rapp Collins, Hamburg, to handle trade and restaurant advertising for Anheuser-Busch B beer. DDB Needham is not free to handle the Anheuser-Busch B account because it handles rival brewer Beck of Bremen. The B brand was launched last month as Anheuser-Busch's way of getting round the fact that Czech brewer Budojovicky Budvar owns the rights to the brand Budweiser in much of Europe.
