Clorox Co., Oakland, Calif., is moving the estimated $5 million Armor All automotive cleaning products account to DDB Needham, San Francisco, from Foote, Cone & Belding, San Francisco. Clorox pulled its bleaches and home cleaning products account from FCB earlier this year after FCB's Chicago office picked up business from Clorox competitor S.C. Johnson & Son. Top FCB executives on the Armor All account were hired by DDB to continue working on the business.

AT&T Canada, Toronto, has consolidated its long-distance advertising with Young & Rubicam. MacLaren McCann of Toronto got most of the estimated $19 million account for AT&T Canada Long Distance Services Co. of Halifax less than a year ago. MacLaren was responsible for creative while Y&R handled direct marketing and media buying. Both MacLaren and Y&R's U.S.-based parent companies work with AT&T Corp. in the U.S.

The Gap's Banana Republic division, San Francisco, to Baron & Baron, from the Arnell Agency, both New York, for the creative portion of its advertising account. Fabien Baron has worked on previous fashion accounts, including Calvin Klein and Hugo Boss. A media planning and buying agency is expected to be named within a few weeks. Select Comfort, Minneapolis, to Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer Euro RSCG, New York, as the first agency for its $15 million bedding ad account. Other finalists were Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, New York, and Mullen, Wenham, Mass.

Braun Inc., Lynnfield, Mass., assigned its electric shaver direct marketing account to Bronner Slosberg Humphrey, Boston, a new assignment. Lowe & Partners SMS handles general advertising.

Pro Player, Hudson, N.H., sports apparel unit of Fruit of the Loom, is reviewing its $10 million ad account currently with Bates USA, New York.
