(July 11, 2001) -- WPP Group-owned Young & Rubicam's Wunderman, New York, was selected after a review of five undisclosed agencies to handle a five-year, $25 million direct-marketing campaign for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The effort will serve as a recruitment program, targeting 16- to 22-year-olds via online and e-mail marketing programs, in an effort to educate them about the accounting profession.

The campaign, which is the insitute's first direct-marketing effort, is scheduled to launch in the fall. -- Cara Beardi
