ACNielsen, NetRatings team to create service

Market research company ACNielsen Corp. and Internet audience researcher NetRatings have formed a venture to launch a global service for online advertising and audience measurement. The new venture will be called ACNielsen; the service, marketed under the Nielsen/NetRatings brand, will be offered in Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa beginning the first quarter of 2000.
