The Advertising Show, a weekly local radio program in Texas, went nationwide last weekend with Advertising Age as its sponsor.

The show, which currently airs on Infinity Broadcasting's Business Radio 650 AM in Houston, was added March 29 to the talk-radio network of Syndicated Solutions, giving it national reach through Syndicated Solutions' 600 weekly affiliates and listeners of XM Satellite Radio.

Hosted by Brad Forsythe, co-founder of full-service agency Forsythe & Butler, and Ray Schilens, president-CEO of Intelligent Audio, the show includes interviews with key industry figures and features on marketing issues, trends and strategies.

"For the last 18 months, we've taken an idea for a radio program that should have originated years ago in New York and grown it into a successful show in Houston," Mr. Forsythe said. "From the beginning we planned to have national appeal by featuring people who are nationally known in the industry. Now we have attracted enough attention to land a national deal." Mr. Forsythe added that he expects the show's alliance with Ad Age to go beyond sponsorship into editorial content.

Bob Carey, president of Syndicated Solutions, said: "For a local radio show to have the endorsement of the leading national trade magazine prior to national syndication is unheard of in the radio industry and is an indication of the quality and national focus of the program."

The Advertising Show airs live on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Central Time and is repeated on Sundays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
