[new york] Advertising Age today unveils a real-time version of its Account Action column on the World Wide Web. The area, accessible for no charge at, will feature instant updates on ad accounts that have gone into agency review and reviews that have been decided.

"This is one of the best uses of the Web we can imagine," said Scott Donaton, executive editor. "Rather than rehashing information from the magazine, we are continuing to take advantage of the unique strengths of the Internet to extend our editorial capabilities and offer our audience online information with real value."

The Web version of the Account Action column also will feature more items than can fit in the weekly printed chart. As with the chart, the online column will carry information on which agencies are participating in reviews, the billings involved, review consultants and anticipated decision dates.

Items will be color-coded so visitors can quickly identify the latest news developments, and the chart will be updated at least once a day.

The Account Action column is the latest extension of, which is anchored by three daily news feeds. Also recently added was Ad Age's Interactions, offering industry forums, live chats and personal home pages.
