For the third year, the Best Awards judging panel consisted of agency creatives and client-company representatives as well as Advertising Age editors.

The agency representatives were chief judge Bob Welke, chief creative officer for Leo Burnett USA, Chicago; Jac Coverdale, exec VP-creative director, Clarity Coverdale Fury, Minneapolis; Jim Mountjoy, exec VP-creative director, Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy, Charlotte, N.C.; and Steve Rabosky, executive creative director, Chiat/Day, Venice, Calif.

Advertiser representatives were Robert Austin, director of marketing communications, Volvo Cars of North America; Brad Ellis, international advertising manager, American Airlines; Lenora Kirkley, VP-advertising, Ethan Allen; and Jan Soderstrom, senior VP-advertising, Visa USA.

Ad Age editorial staff members who served as judges were Steve Yahn editor; Larry Edwards, executive editor/features; Bob Garfield, editor at large; Anthony Vagnoni, editor, Advertising Age's Creativity; and Pat Sloan, senior editor and New York bureau chief.

The judging was coordinated by Robert Goldsborough, corporate projects editor.
