LUBBOCK, Texas-Fewer college students are choosing advertising as their major, while public relations enrollment and graduation rates continue to climb.

Advertising graduation and enrollment fell for the second straight year at 191 colleges and universities of mass communication, journalism and business in the U.S. and Puerto Rico surveyed by Louisiana State University and Texas Tech University.

The annual survey found advertising graduation rates fell 15.5% to 5,300 degrees and enrollment dropped 5.8% to 15,657 students last year.
