AdMarket 50

DOWN TIME: Advertising Age and Bloomberg's AdMarket 50 was not so nifty in 2002, with only nine stocks up. Double-digit gainers: Print and local TV owners Washington Post Co., Tribune Co. and Meredith Corp.; and Kellogg Co. Losers: Cordiant Communications Group, AOL Time Warner, Primedia, Interpublic Group of Cos. and Intel Corp., all down at least 50%. Since the Standard & Poor's 500 hit its March 24, 2000 peak, 16 AdMarket stocks are up: 10 marketers, five in media and one agency, Grey Global Group. Biggest fall since the peak: Primedia, Yahoo!, Cordiant, Digitas and AOL Time Warner, all down more than 80%.
