Ad spending tops $1.5 billion: AdZone

Ad spending on Web sites grew 21% in to July to $1.5 billion, according to AdZone Interactive, an advertising research company. That number is inflated, however, because data are based on rate cards. Sites that reaped the most ad revenue in July included aol.com, with $85.8 million; yahoo.com, with $48.8 million; ebay.com, with $33.9 million; cbs.sportsline.com, with $27.4 million; and freelotto.com, with $27.2 million, according to AdZone.
